Chapt. 1

ah, hell.
nothing to wear.
I looked trough my closet, catagorizing all my clothing articles. I had lots of them, but none of them where right for a party. Of course I could always ask Kara for a cute outfit, but she'd obviously say no. Even if she wasn't wearing it at the moment, she wouldn't share her precious fashionable clothing with her sister. Fashion was all Kara thought about these days.
Kara was coming along to the party tonight, so there was no way I could sneak off with one of her
outfits like I usually did.
Ah, well. They can't all be won.
Sighing, I took out a short black dress. Looking in the mirror, I experimented with my Black hair. after a bit of debate i let it hang loose. Apparently I couldn`t win that battle either.
I heard the familiar noise of the doorbell. Grabbing my handbag, I rushed down the stairs, almost tripping over Belle, my fluffly white alaskan husky. `sorry girl,`i took the time to apologize to her.
As i neared the bottom of the stairs, I saw that my sister had already let Chris in. Chris was my guy friend. Not my boy friend. in fact, I dont think he`s dated anyone since grade 4, which was pretty sad. I mean, He`s cute. Not majorly hot, but cute. he was the type of guy who wasn`t dressing to impress. He was pretty laid back, and seemingly innocent. And freaking smart. I was used to it, since we had drooled on the same baby toys during childhood. Other people found it immensly annoying that he was like this, but I accepted him as just Chris.
His Orange hair was in the usual mop on top of his head, and his huge glasses perched on the end of his nose. Something about his dorkyness made him even cuter. he had on a ninto gaming T-shirt and some khaki shorts. Obviously he didn`t take as much time and precision as I had.
`Jordin!`He said gleefully, which made my stomach do a little flip per usual. He rushed over to me and gave me a hug.
I squeezed him back. He had no clue how innocent he was.
He stepped back to look at me. "you look good,"he said.
I smiled at him. "wish I could say the same for you, yah dork," I said, smiling.
Me sister, who was staring awkwardly off to the side, stepped forward. "Can we go now? I promised Blake I would meet him in five minutes."
I looked at her and and sighed. "yah yah, we're going right now."
I locked the door behind me and gave one last look at the house. I couldn't help but think something was wrong. I felt uneasy inside, like butterflies were making their cocoons before the long winter started.
Little did I know these butterflies were right. When the time was right, after the cold winter had passed, somthing beautiful would come out. But not without suffering first.

teens. They're both seniors, her younger sister is a junior, fresh meat kinda thing.I'm kinda hoping for this plot were chris will be responsible for what happened that night kind of thing. He's sent to harm her, but he can't, because i the years they've grown up together, he's grown to love. But then there's conflict when she starts seeing other guys, and she figures out whats going on...with stuff... and I probably just spoiled part of the story for you :P
